Welcome fellow members and potential members. I am Dina Canasi, the newly elected 2012-13 President of HCDHA. Currently, I hold a part time faculty position at Hillsborough Community
College Dental Hygiene Program, and have been there since 2006. My new position as president of HCDHA is one I am embracing with great anticipation.
Many thanks to Vicki Nidzgorski, our Immediate Past
President, for her outstanding job as our past president; it will be hard following her lead! Our
current Board is busying planning the coming year, working on securing meeting sites to accommodate various locations for our member's convenience, a great symposium/fundraiser in January 2013, and
great guest speakers for our continuing education credits.
Our focus this year is to keep us all
connected and up-to-date on movement in the organization towards Local Anesthesia Certification and uprisings in the Oral Health Coalitions advances in conquering barriers to oral health care. I hope to inspire others to
join our organization as our profession is moving in a new direction
that will affect us all and it will be your membership to the ADHA that
will help us through the transitions. Looking forward to seeing everyone at
the meetings.
